David Gaunt

David studied Medicine at The Middlesex Hospital Medical School, and qualified in 1988. He has been a member of BASICS since 2001, first working with BASICS-London, and then becoming Treasurer and then Chair of that scheme. He works as an A&E Consultant at Watford General Hospital, where he is also the Chief Clinical Information Officer for the Trust. His interest in pre-hospital care started when he worked as a flight doctor for London-HEMS in 2000. His particular interest is in pre-hospital trauma care. He is the Chair of BASICS-Hertfordshire

Asher Lewinsohn

Asher qualified from Bart's and the London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2007. After general rotations went on to become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2010, and then a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2014. Asher has a strong interest in medical education, and regularly trains and teaches first aid and advanced care and is currently director of training for Hatzola ambulance services and Medical officer and Clinical Trainer for UK Specialist Ambulance Service. Outside of these, Asher is an Advanced Life Support instructor/medical director and an Advanced European Paediatric Life Support instructor for the Resuscitation Council UK, as well as an Advanced Cardiac Life support instructor for the American Heart Association as well. Asher has completed many first aid and life support courses and certifications including Advanced Trauma and Life Support, Pre-Hospital trauma and life support, MIMMS, Pre-Hospital Emergency Care and Advanced Pre-Hospital Emergency Care, and is currently a SPR in Anaesthetics and Intensive care within the greater London area.
